
Dynamo Kyiv suffer a 1-2 defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk
Contrary to Club, Dynamo Kyiv didn't have the best weekend prior to this Tuesday's enthralling and decisive European fixture. The Ukranian vice champion suffered a 1-2 defeat against champions Shakhtar Donetsk.
Coach Aleksandr Khatskevich rested some players in view of Tuesday's important match. Donetsk's Brazilian striker Júnior Moraes opened the scoring, but Rodrigues equalised before half-time. In the second half Marlos scored the winning goal, thus taking revenge for the lost Super Cup against Dynamo Kyiv (2-1).
Due to this defeat Dynamo Kyiv have six points out of a possible nine, Shakhtar lead the pack with the maximum of the points. (VM)
