Hans Vanaken: “Neat to be decisive, but what matters most are the three points”
The win on a rough pitch clearly pleased MVP Hans Vanaken. In the 0-4 win at Eupen, the Golden Boot saw his efforts rewarded with two goals and an assist.
“Away at Eupen you can always expect a vigorous game. A small pitch with an enthusiastic home side. Today was a bit different, and we played a very positive game. With our fine, dominant start and quick opener, we gave ourselves a fine score to head for the dressing rooms. After the break, we cut their breath by scoring another swift goal, after which we were able to finish the game with an eased mind. We even had some more chances to boots the score. It's neat to be decisive, but what matters most are the three points, obviously. Never mind the others, we now need to look at ourselves and keep winning those games. After that we can see how the others have done and start working towards the play-offs.“ (KV)
