Sébastien Bruzzese signs five-year contract, Vladan Kujovic retires

Earlier today, Club concluded its first Summer signing, offering 26-year-old goalie Bruzesse a five-year contract. He will be replacing Vladan Kujovic, who will be quitting professional football after this season.

Sébastien Bruzzese (26) joined Zulte Waregem in 2012.

Bruzzese: “I'm very happy with this new step in my career. I've had the chance to work with Michel Preud’homme and Jan Van Steenberghe before at AA Gent, and I'm looking forward to adding another fine chapter. I'd like to wish Club the very best in the remaining PO games too. I'll be rooting for them!"

Vladan Kujovic will be ending his professional playing career soon. He has been at Club since 2011, after stints at Levante, Roda JC and Lierse SK. Last season, Kujovic beat kidney cancer.

Kujovic: “This has been the toughest decision of my life so far, but it's one I've been pondering for a long time now. Club wanted to continue for another year, which I really appreciated. I have to be honest with myself, however, and also with the people surrounding me, and I feel that my heart and my body are no longer ready to play an important role again next season.  This is the perfect moment to put an end to my career. I'm looking forward to spending more time with my family, and want to thank everyone at Club, board, staff, players, fans, for the support they've given me these past times.”
