From Pamplona to Istanbul over Molde and just two weeks ago Thessaloniki. We've already toured many beautiful European cities this European season and Thursday is another of those with the trip to Florence for the outward match in the Conference League semifinals.

Florence is one of Italy's most historic cities and has a population of just under 400,000. Most of the city is recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site, so any vandalism (even stickers) there is punished extra harshly.

MEETING POINT

Club fans can meet before the match in the city center at the "Piazza Indipendenza. From there, free shuttle buses leave for the stadium from 6 p.m., a ride of about 25 minutes.

The shuttle buses are also immediately the best way to get to the "Artemio Franchi stadium," home of Fiorentina. A march to the stadium (=corteo) is prohibited by Italian law.

Fans traveling to Florence by car can use the private parking lots near the city center. They also prefer to take the shuttle bus at the meeting point for Club fans "Piazza Indipendenza" to continue towards the stadium. You can also take your car directly to the stadium, but parking spaces there are more limited.

THE STADIUM

The Stadio Artemio Franchi can accommodate 43,147 supporters, making it the fifth largest stadium in Italy.

Once you arrive at the stadium, you will go through two entry controls. Only small (hip) bags (no larger than A5) are allowed. Gates open at 7 p.m., two hours before kickoff. The image below shows the route to the stadium. The yellow line is the route description for visiting supporters, the red indicates which zone is prohibited.

After the strict entry controls, you will enter the stadium via grandstand 13 or grandstand 14 (OS1 and OS2). Fans in wheelchairs are supported and assisted on the spot by the stewards in the visitors' area. At the bar in the visitors' area you can pay by bank card as well as in cash.
