Charles De Ketelaere: “Very pleasing victory”

Charles De Ketelaere gave Club an early lead and scored his first league goal for the blue and black after his cup goal against Zulte Waregem. The youngster capped his great performance with a goal at the Luminus Arena.

“This is a very important victory. We started the game perfectly, but Genk started to play better after their equaliser. We're very happy with this win." De Ketelaere suffered a knock, but managed to keep going. "The referee decided it wasn't worthy of a card, but I think it was serious enough to warrent at least a yellow. It left a mark on my leg, but luckily I could keep on going with the help of a pain killer." The youngster had a big chance for a second in the second half. "I tried to put it next to the goalkeeper, but unfortunately I hit the inside of the post. This is a heart-warming victory after the defeat at Manchester." (VM)
