Charles De Ketelaere at Club until 2023

Charles De Ketelaere signed a new long-term deal until 2023!

Living just 500 meters away of the stadium, De Ketelaere (now 19) joined Club Brugge at the age of seven, which makes him a true academy player. The left-footed offensive midfielder moved to the first team last summer and made his debut in the cup game against Francs Borains in September. A month later, Charles was picked for the starting eleven in the Champions League fixture against PSG.

Meanwhile he's a regular in Philippe Clement's team selection. The Belgian youth international has now signed a new long-term deal until 2023.

Club's first-team selection has eight academy players. Apart from De Ketelaere there's also Mechelen, Shinton, Van Der Brempt, Vlietinck, De Cuyper, Lammens and Openda.

Club announced De Ketelaere's contract renewal with a throwback. Watch the movie on Club's social media.

De Ketelaere: “I'm very honoured to be a part of Club Brugge where I've been given the chances to develop as a player. First of all, I want to thank them for the opportunities this season. I'm very excited to see my full potential at Club, both on personal level and as a team.”
