Charles De Ketelaere: "Combining three goals with a clean sheet feels good"

Charles De Ketelaere opened the score with a hard shot. The young striker manages to score quite easily against Zulte Waregem. The first goal of his career was also against the team from Waregem.

“This is a coincidence, it starts becoming a thing. I didn't think about it yet but it is funny. My first goal for Club was also against them in the Cup and I will remember that goal. It was a nice goal today that started with a good combination. I got a lot of space, made an action and shot. It feels good to combine three goals from our side with a clean sheet. That is a difference with a tight victory. I hope we can build further on this and end the year in a nice way. Sometimes we had a hard time in the back but that clean sheet feels good. It gives confidence and I hope we can keep a lot of clean sheets in the future. We have the quality and had a lot of clean sheets last season. That will certainly come back and hopefully this is the start of a good series."

The Blues digested the European elimination in the meantime. "The match at PSG is over and we have to look towards the future. We have to take the experience and intensity to the regular league. The Cup and regular league are our two remaining objectives. The succession of matches may not be a problem. I take care of my body to be fit every match again. I like playing games, that isn't a problem. What I think about the performance of Ruud? We know his qualities, what he meant for Club in the past and what he will still do for our team. Ruud is our captain and the real leader. He always gives himself for the team, whether he plays or not. You have to respect that." (KN)
