Clinton Mata: “Lost two points”
Clinton Mata and his teammates experienced a tough game against a well-organized Eupen. The Blues couldn't score and had to be satisfied with only one point.
“We know it would be hard. They lost twice and played well-organized. They stayed in the back and tried to prevent us from scoring. Their defence played a solid game. It is pity but we stay ambitious. We have to win every home game and try to gather as many points as possible away. Nevertheless, we lose two points here today."
Mata also gave his opinion about the penalty phase. "Everyone saw that the defender had no eye for the ball. It is a decision of the referee but I think it was a penalty. Anyway, I don't understand the decision of the referee."
Club play the important game at Linz in the Champions League play-offs on Tuesday. "We take one match at a time and focus on Linz now. They eliminated Basel so it will be a tough game again. You may definitely not underestimate them. We want to qualify for the Champions League and we will do everything we can in order to achieve that goal." (KN)
