Club drawn with Zenit, Dortmund and Lazio

The start of Club Brugge's Champions League campaign is just around the corner. Club has been drawn in Group F with Zenit, Dortmund and Lazio. "Perhaps this group speaks less to the imagination than last year's group, but all three teams are a real challenge. Either team in our group has a much bigger budget and all their players have a lot of quality", coach Philippe Clement reacts on the draw.

What's the assessement of our coach? "I think that if we can qualify for the Europa League, we have done well, eventhough we aim for the highest achievable. We just want to gather as much points as possible and then we'll see."

Simon Mignolet is looking forward to the Champions League group stage. "I know all teams quite well. I have some former teammates who've played there and there are a couple of Belgians playing for Dortmund. What I like most is that all four teams can win from each other. Dortmund is top favourite for me, eventhough they were in pot 2."

"Our ambitions in this group will alter from game to game. If we have to travel to Russia during winter while it's freezing and snowy, then that's an extra advantage for the home side. Dortmund and Lazio have very passionate fans. On the other hand: at Jan Breydel we can take the three points as well."

Clinton Mata had a feeling. "I knew we were going to draw with Dortmund. I think this is a good group for us. Last year we showed that we can hurt some of the bigger teams. Why not try to reach the next round?"
