Beşiktaş recorded a 2-0 victory against Gaziantepspor on their own field Monday night. The home team gritted its teeth against the visiting defense for a long time. Bodø/Glimt won its league match against Lillestrøm 3-1 on Monday night. Defenders Moe and Wembangomo scored as did striker Pellegrino for the home team.
After Sorli missed an early lead, central defender Moe opened the scoring. A dropped ball was kicked into the pack by Berg where Brede Moe deviated the ball into goal. Pellegrino aimed another counter on the goalkeeper in the first half. On the hour, Bodø was able to take advantage of a poor throw-in by the visitors. Striker Amahl Pellegrino emerged in front of goal and hit the post to make it 2-0. Lillestrøm occasionally countered and even managed to score the tying goal. Roseth headed a corner kick low into the left corner out of the reach of goalkeeper Haikin, but the home team immediately put things right. Right back Brice Wembangomo kicked the 3-1 on the scoreboard with a clever distance shot into the top corner. Bodø still had chances through Moe, Moumbagna and Berg to extend their lead, but in the end it remained 3-1.
Bodø/Glimt are well on their way to becoming Norwegian champions after this 3-1 victory against Lillestrøm. Meanwhile, with four games to go, they are seven points ahead of first pursuer Tromsø. (KN)
