Emmanuel Dennis: “Super motivated to claim the win here”

Coming on for the injured Diatta, Emmanuel Dennis put in a fine performance, raising hell on the right wing, and producing a fine assist to help Vanaken on his way to Club's opener. His industrious stance earned him the MVP award afterwards.

“Clearly I'm chuffed that we grabbed the three points here today. With all the negative critique we have been given in the past week, we were extra motivated to claim the full loot here. And we succeeded, so you can only be happy about that. Also with the fact that we managed to really bring pain to Genk, particularly in the first half. We really should have scored more than once, I reckon. Fortunately Hans was really well positioned to head in one of my infiltrations on the wing, offering us a 0-1 bonus as we headed for the dressing room.”

Not only did Dennis produce that fine first half assist, but he also came close to putting his name on the score line too, just narrowly missing out on Badji's strong cross. "That's right, I came inches close to tapping in that 0-2, but in all honesty, that cross was really hard which was probably why I came so close. We now need to bring that same energy to our next home game. Let's hope we can be cheered on by a couple of thousands fans, we really do miss them. Football without supporters, it really stinks, man!” (FDC)
