Ethan Horvath joins Club Brugge

Club Brugge have reached an agreement with Molde FK for the immediate transfer of Ethan Horvath. The goalkeeper signed a four-and-a-half year contract with The Blues.

Horvath (21) played for Norwegian side Molde FK since 2013. The tall goalkeeper (1m94) was only 20 year old when he was the first pick for the position between the sticks. The American gained a lot of European experience with the Norwegian top team and was voted MOTM in the 1-1 draw with Ajax which earned him a spot in the UEFA Europa League 'Team of the Week'.

Ethan Horvath is the starting goalkeeper for the U.S. Under-23 team and was named in the 23-man squad for the Copa América Centenario in June 2016 by former national coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

Horvath signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Club Brugge. He will join his teammates at the Winter training stage at Sotogrande.

Ethan is currently with his family in the United States to celebrate the holidays, but you can listen to his first reaction after signing for his new club!
