FC Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 on Saturday night in an exciting edition of Der Klassiker.
Harry Kane headed in the opening goal after 20 minutes following a corner kick from Joshua Kimmich. Bayern dominated the first half and had chances through Olise and Díaz, but went to rest with only one goal ahead. After the break, Dortmund got into the game better, but it was again Bayern that struck: Michael Olise doubled the score after a quick attack. Julian Brandt briefly brought BVB back with a late goal, but the home side held on to take their 11th win of the season. An equaling of Dortmund's Bundesliga record from 2015/16. With this win, Bayern remains unbeaten and firmly in the lead with 21 points, five more than RB Leipzig. A new challenge awaits on Wednesday: Club Brugge in the Champions League.
