Jelle Vossen: “Three crucial points”
With buddy up front Wesley being sent off, Jelle Vossen had to fire from all cylinders to help Club claim three crucial points.
"Three vital points, especially considering we were down to ten for eighty minutes. Only one thing matters, and that's claiming that victory. We worked hard for it today. Our first half was not up to par, but we were the better team in the second half. We broke out, made the most of the space offered, and more meticulous in our passing. We should all have a look in the mirror. It took some tweaking after that red card, taking a lower position and aiming for the break. But we took matters in our own hands in the second half, trying to bring our usual game. I reckon we did well in that respect. I'm happy for Dion too, as he hasn't been playing all that much lately. Coming back in this way is neat. It just goes to show we need to be able to call upon everyone in our selection. Wesley is down the dumps. I haven't seen the footage just yet, so there's not a lot I can say about it. Six out of six is a boost, definitely, particulary down to ten for such a long time." (MDK)
