Mats Rits played his 75th game for Club, while Siebe Schrijvers and Ethan Horvath are their 50th league match for the blue and black. Charles De Ketelaere still has a long way to go to reach those numbers, but Club's academy player did provide an assist for the second game in a row.
Larry Azouni will not be on the pitch for Kortrijk. The midfielder is not eligible to play after his fifth yellow card of the season against STVV. Kortrijk will count on Ilombe Mboyo for the attacking danger - he scored seven goals so far.
Mboyo has, just like Kristof D'Haene, a past as youth player at Club. The latter only missed four minutes this season.
Club will play another derby on Sunday, they are Club's opponent for the 62th time. The blue and black picked up the three points 14 times in the last 30 visits, ten games were lost.
Earlier this season Club beat KV Kortrijk 3-0, last year the game at Kortrijk ended as it had started: 0-0. Dennis had scored, but the VAR had chalked off the goal because of a small push leading up to the goal.
The last three trips to the Guldensporen Stadium had varying results. Last season it ended on a 0-0 draw, the two seasons before both Club and Kortrijk won a game with 2-1.
KV Kortrijk only has the Belgian cup left to spice up their season. Being in 12th position Play-Off 1 is out of reach, but the cup final is still very much a posibility. Kortrijk left Antwerp with a 1-1 draw and even had enough chances to take all three points home. Sunday's fixture may very well be next cup final.
Yves Vanderhaeghe's side has 14 points out of eleven games including victories against Anderlecht and Zulte Waregem, but on the other had also defeats against Eupen, Waasland-Beveren and Mouscron. Last week Kortrijk were beaten 2-0 by STVV.
Kortrijk signed two players this month: Timothy Derijck (Gent) and Terem Moffi (FK Riteriai). Both players were given the nod for the game against Antwerp. Gary Kagelmacher (Peñarol), Nihad Mujakic (Hajduk Split) and Jean Marco Toualy (Almeria) left the club.
Bram Van Driessche is appointed referee for this match. He will be assisted Yves De Neve and Keven Monteny. Frederik Geldhof is the fourth official. Kevin Van Damme is the video assistant referee, assited by Mathias Hillaert and Brent Staessens.
It's Van Driessche's 13th official Club game. In the last six away games with him as referee, Club won three games, drew one and lost two. Earlier this season Van Driessche whistled the home game against Eupen (0-0, the away game at Antwerp (2-1) and the cup game at RSC Anderlecht (0-2).
This season the 34-year-old refereed KV Kortrijk's home game in the cup against KAS Eupen (2-1). It's the first time he is appointed referee for a fixture between Kortrijk and Club.
