Loïs Openda: “Dropped two points”

Talk about a golden substitution. Just on, Loïs Openda scored from his very first touch to the ball, his maiden goal at Blauw-Zwart.

“I've waited a long time for this first goal. Apparently I had been on the pitch for just 34 seconds. My first touch to the ball was bingo. I hope more goals can follow. We didn't play that bad today, worked hard, with lots of duels against a fiesty Gent. At half-time, our coach urged us to take more risks and try and force things so we could draw level. Pity we couldn't add more goals, that's where our problem lies these days. We now need to focus on that in the coming games. We really dropped two points today. Genk won its game, and now has a more comfortable lead. But we are Club Brugge. We should be able to bring to the league what we brought in the Champions League. We will do what we can to still claim that title.” (KN)
