“I am very happy with the team performance. It rained a lot which resulted in tough conditions. Tau wasn't the right player for this circumstances so I substituted him after 35 minutes. There were many duels and that is not his thing. We knew Gent would take a quick start. We did not really get a lot of good chances and were not able to keep the ball in front. We played better afterwards and especially in the second half with Sobol on the left. We got some chances and took the lead. However, they scored the equaliser but the team responded well. I am a very proud coach. I am especially proud with what my team showed today despite that tough game on Thursday."

The coach of the Blues had to change his plans because of the bad field. "Maybe I should have changed my team before the match. We had to change our plans due to the bad field. Nevertheless, this is a very important point for us. The team again proved they are able to fight. Moreover, they are in a very good shape because we were better at the end."

Clement also praised the home team. "We knew Gent are good. Whether they are our biggest opponent? They definitely have a very good team and a good coach who wants to play offensively. They are certainly a big competitor but other teams are so too.” (SF)
