Philippe Clement wins Raymond Goethals Trophy

This afternoon the Raymond Goethals Trophy was awarded to our coach Philippe Clement. The trophy is handed to the Belgian coach who embodied Raymond Goethals the best in the past year. Michel Preud'homme and Wouter Vrancken finished second and third.

Since 2011 the Raymond Goethals Trophy is award to the best Belgian coach in the Jupiler Pro League, abroad or as a national coach in remembrance of the late Raymond Goethals. The jury - Goethals' son, former national team coaches, referees and members of the organization -  rewarded Philippe Clement for a fantastic year.

In 2019 Clement managed to get Genk and Club Brugge in the Champions League group stage and he is currently top of the Jupiler Pro League.

Last season Philippe Clement won the trophy as well for his achievements at Racing Genk. Clement is the first coach to win the trophy twice and the first coach to win it twice in a row. Congrats, coach!
