“The 3-0 win is a fine result. We started out well, just like we did in our earlier home game vs Eupen. We scored two fine goals in a set-up we exercised at training, and kept things under control. We may have scored more, but 3-0 is something to be seen. Room was tighter after that 2-0; we were patient in possession and didn't give anything away. It's not always wise to go full charge ahead. We added a third to the tally, so we can leave the pitch satisfied. With these opponents, our goal was to start with a perfect 9 out of 9. Be there right from the start, but we shouldn' take our foot of the pedal just yet."
Schrijvers had been informed earlier this week he was going to start. “I did what I could at training just like I always do, and remain focused to do the job needed. I was informed of the start earlier this week, and prepared well. My position was a forward falling back. It's a new system, but I'm happy with my goal. Jelle made a good running action on the right, freeing up space for me, and I fired it in. I'm happy to be scoring in my very first start, with this great audience, always present in great numbers.
