Wesley Moraes: “I'm sticking with Club!”
A vital part in Club's win over Eupen was for Wesley Moraes, scoring twice just before the coffee. The best news came after the game, however.
“My two goals today will not make me change my mind: I've decided to stick with Club Brugge", the young Brazilian had quite the surprise in store. "Some teams are interested, as you all probably know, but I decided I'm going to stay here anyway. I want to help Club in doing well in the Champions League, and hope to further grow in the league too. I'm still only 21 years old, so there's still plenty of time for that step further up in the coming years. After our win in the Supercup, I reckon we again showed we're ready to compete for the main prize this season. We put in a lot of hard work at training this week, which clearly paid off in spades in the first half. As to my performance, I see no reason for complaining. After my goal last week, I found my way to the back of the nets twice again. I hope I can do just as well as last seasn, but only time will tell if I can do that.” (FDC)
