Wesley Moraes: “Learned so much in these past three years”
In what is most likeley his final game for Club Brugge, Wesley Moraes was taken off in the second half. Overcome with emotion, the Brazilian forward headed for the bench in tears.
“For over three years, I gave everything here, but Club Brugge also did everything for me”, a clearly emotional Wesley kicked off. "That's why I will always be thankful towards this club. Making the move to another team will come with some pain, definitely. When I was taken off, I couldn't hold back the tears any longer, as I knew straight away this was my very last game for Blauw-Zwart. I will never forget Club Brugge. The fact that I might be going to a bigger league now, I owe it all to Club. I learned so much in the past thre years here.”
“Obviously leaving with a title would have been nicer. But I reckon we did everything we could this season, and that details determined our course. I don't think we are to blame. Where I'll be playing next season? That's one big question mark. Hopefully in England, but we'll see. Maybe I might come back to join Club in the run-up to the new season.” (FDC)
