The 18-year-old wing-back experienced his breakthrough with Club NXT U23 towards the end of season 2020/21. The Belgian youth international was placed in the starting lineup on 21 February 2021, in the league match against Deinze and he retained his place ever since. Thanks to his rapid development, De Roeve has already accumulated a number of appearances in the Challenger Pro League.
