Kevin Van Dessel will join Ivan Leko’s staff as team development coach during the summer of 2026–2027. Van Dessel brings extensive experience from both Belgian and Dutch soccer. After a successful playing career, he built a strong track record as a coach. Kevin previously worked as an assistant coach at KV Mechelen, KRC Genk, and KAA Gent.

In 2025–2026, Van Dessel took the helm for the first time as head coach of the Dutch club Roda JC, the team for which he played for many years.
