Bas Dost: "I already feel very much at home here"

Club brought in Bas Dost as a goalgetter during the winter break. The Dutchman also found his way to the nets against Standard and has already scored five goals in six matches.

"After the winter break we are winning all the games so far and that is impressive for me as well," Bas Dost said during his press talk. "In other words, a lot of respect for the team. The early opening goal was certainly not due to laxity or a lack of concentration, but you know that in soccer anything can happen. Obviously we were not happy about that either, but we immediately reacted well. We didn't get confused, we knew what we had to do and then you see that we turned our deficit into a 2-1 lead at halftime in a very convincing way."

The Dutchman has clearly not missed his start at Club Brugge and is already at five goals after just a few weeks. "Lekker hé. Of course I know why I came here. I wanted to be important for the team and I'm succeeding quite nicely. The guys also play me well and that obviously makes a difference. For example, it is quite nice to play with guys like Hans Vanaken, to name but one. I can't deny that I already feel very much at home here." (FDC)
