Just before the whistle, Bjorn Meijer got the chance for Club to keep the three points at home, but goalkeeper Warleson was simply unbeatable this afternoon. Blauw-Zwart had to be satisfied with a scoreless draw.
"A defeated feeling that you're only here with one point, it's two lost points. It was an intense match with a lot of chances. We kicked too much at the goalkeeper and he played a good game. We had chances that didn't go in at all and then you get crazy in your head. It was less good of us that Cercle also got some chances. You know in a match chances fall on both sides, but I think they got a little too many opportunities today. We played a good match, regardless of the disappointing result. We had a good preparation and motivated each other for the match. If you put good pressure at the beginning, it creates more motivation and you can keep going. You just had to win this one given the game. It was nicer if we had the three points. It's not good our series, it's obviously a down period though. Fortunately, we're not at the half yet. That's the consolation then that we can still make up for it." (KN)
