In its fourth practice match, Club Brugge took on Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles. In the first half, Blauw-Zwart fell behind after a goal by Oliver Edvardsen. However, the lopsided situation was rectified in the second half after goals by Onyedika and Homma. Club thus closed its practice break with a win!
The start of the match was for the Dutch first division side, as after only 6 minutes Buchanan had to intervene by turning a stick ball from Edvardsen off the line. Midway through the first half, however, it was a prize for Go Ahead Eagles. Mechele had the ball stolen from him and Victor Edvardsen was able to put it in front of his namesake. Oliver Edvardsen could not miss and so Club had to chase. The reaction came through Nusa and Skov Olsen, but each time their shot was parried by goalkeeper de Lange.
The second half was started by Club with 11 new players and they immediately took the initiative forward. In minute 55, Spileers was able to lay in one time on a corner kick, but de Lange saved handsomely with a foot rebound. Moments later, Skoras took a corner kick and it was curled egg like directly into goal and the far post was even hit. The same Skoras was also able to lay free in the sixteen a few minutes later, but his shot was blocked. Delay of execution, because again a few minutes later the signs were level. A dropped ball was popped hard into the net by Onyedika. Blue-Black kept coming and Vermant intercepted a return ball, but his shot did not get past de Lange. On the opposite side, Shinton had to push the ball over the crossbar on a shot by Serra. In the last 10 minutes of the match, Club still pulled the sheet to itself. First a header goal by Yaremchuk was disallowed for offside, but a little later the goal was scored. Homma with the beautiful action where he came inside and placed the leather nicely in the far corner.
Blauw-Zwart ended its training camp in the Netherlands with a 2-1 victory!
