A few months ago, 1891shop launched the search for the very greatest Club Brugge connoisseurs. A total of more than a thousand questions spread over several preliminary rounds had to provide answers. 'Bruges Finest' eventually made it into the finals with a staggering 199 out of 206!
From Bistro De Perse in Blankenberge to OC De Schouw in Lichtervelde. In the preliminaries at six different locations throughout the country, there was plenty of quizzing going on between October and November for a place in the grand final last Saturday. There, 32 teams that survived the preliminary rounds were invited. Remarkable is that the final top 3 could win one of the preliminaries each time and are thus real connoisseurs.
We already announced the winner. Bruges Finest could be caught with only 7 wrong answers in the final. That they are down-to-earth guys proves one mistake on the peripheral question: "What does a pint cost at Jan Breydel?". Bruges Elite also scored extremely well with a whopping 193 points. Third place went to De Chaletplakkers with 191 points.
