Between the double encounter with Blue-Black, CA Osasuna went on to take the three points in La Liga at Valencia's field in extremis after a late goal from Nacho Vidal.
In a game full of duels, the first dangerous action was for Osasuna. Ibanez played the ball behind the defense, Correia was just able to prevent the shot. However, VAR had spotted a foul that allowed Aimar Oroz to kick the visitors into the lead from the penalty spot. It was Valencia that prevailed and went in search of the equalizer but Fernandez was not in trouble. Only Hugo Duro put the goalie to work just before the break.
After the break the same pattern of play, Valencia looking for the equalizer but not getting through the defense. Javi Guerra and Almeida found Fernandez in the path of their shot each time. With ten minutes left on the clock, Hugo Duro was able to equalize, scoring with his head on Gayà's cross. Valencia pushed on in search of victory, but Duro missed the rebound after a shot by Javi Guerra. Then, in extra time, a goal fell from the sky, Nacho Vidal dragging out the victory for Osasuna.
