Casper Nielsen: "It's great to contribute to this win"

What a drop-in performance by Casper Nielsen! The Danish midfielder was out of action for several weeks with an injury, but Nielsen helped Club to an over-earned win against Antwerp with two fine goals.

My goal was to accumulate minutes and be back at it. It was five tough weeks. It was hard work to be back there after my first real injury in my career, so an additional victory for me. It's great to contribute to this win. After that game at Antwerp where every little chance for them was a goal, that was killing us. The supporters were great today, ever since we arrived at the stadium and that gave that little bit extra. The first half was a bit locked, in the second half more open chances followed."

Casper Nielsen found it tough to watch as Club remained scoreless the last three games. "After the hard work of the past few weeks, although we have nothing left to win, we are now being rewarded because we just want to win. It was tough weeks to stay without points. This win is nice though. I know how much work myself and the other players put into this. This is a good feeling and gives you motivation to do further. I don't think much about the opponents to come. Yes, Union will always be something special. But once I'm on the field, I don't think about that and I just want to win." (KN)
