After two years of corona absence, another edition of Charity Night was organized tonight at the Bruges Meeting & Convention Center. The New Year's reception for Club Partners, which has been entirely devoted to charity since 2020, this time raised no less than €300,000 for Club Brugge Foundation & Special Olympics.
A well-filled room with more than 450 partners experienced a top evening at the BMCC on Tuesday. Each table, which was sold for the benefit of two charities, was complemented by an A core player or former player of Blauw-Zwart. Chairman Bart Verhaeghe opened the event with a thank you for all the support and throughout the evening several unique items went under the hammer of auctioneer Leo Van der Elst. Among others, the running up of 11 Club Kids yielded some 4,500 euros & a trip to Benfica - Club for two yielded no less than €10,000. Gabriel Ríos provided the appropriate numbers.
After the first edition in 2020, which raised €155,885 euros for Club Brugge Foundation & Come On Against Cancer, a record was now immediately broken. The final amount of €287,550 was even raised by our president to €300,000! An amazing amount that will go entirely to Club Brugge Foundation & Special Olympics!
