Clinton Mata: “Fine reaction after the break"

A great scoring chance for Clinton Mata in the first few minutes, freeing himself from his man, but unable to frame his header. Just like his colleagues, Mata expected more of this game.

“It's clear that we're somewhat disappointed today. After the break, we hardly gave anything away. We conceded three in the first half, but tried to react and keep playing our football. Based on the second half we deserved more, we had a fine reaction at half time, and it's a pity we didn't get our reward. Our finishing wasn't up to par today, and that's something that's vital in the Champions League. We just didn't get our efficiency in check. Our ambition should be to keep going 100% in the following CL games, and we'll see where our ship will strand in the Group stages. We just have to keep playing our own game and remain focused.“ (KN/JDN)
