On Oct. 17 on World Day of Opposition to Poverty, trainer Sabine was awarded for the work she does with the Club Brugge Younited team.
In cooperation with social partners Route 36, Buurtsport, welfare association 't Sas and vzw Wieder, the Foundation has been working for years with the 'Club Brugge Younited' project for the welfare of socially vulnerable Bruges residents. Every week they are offered soccer training in the shadow of the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Earlier this week, the trainer of this team, Sabine Van Troyen, was awarded the 'Brugge de Andere Kant' prize, presented by Brugge Dialoogstad, in recognition of her great efforts in the fight against poverty in Bruges. Sabine was celebrated extensively prior to Club Brugge - STVV under loud applause from the supporters present at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
