Club is paired with AGF Aarhus in 2nd preliminary round UEFA Conference League

This afternoon the draw for the second preliminary round of the UEFA Conference League was held in Nyon.

In the "Main Path" we are drawn with AGF Aarhus. On Thursday 27 July we host the Danes, the return game is played one week later. If we advance to the next round, we play the first leg of the third qualifying round on Thursday 10 August.

Blauw-Zwart is one of the teams of the UEFA Conference League's "Main Path". Ninety teams take on each other in a home and return match.

Ticket information will follow shortly. This home game against Aarhus, just like the possible home match in the third qualifying round, is included in the season ticket.

Over AGF Aarhus

De Deense club eindigde afgelopen seizoen op de derde plek in eigen competitie en moest zo enkel FC Kopenhagen en FC Nordsjaelland voor zich laten gaan. 

De vijfvoudig Deens kampioen staat momenteel op een 234e plaats in de UEFA Ranking en speelde tot nu toe 64 wedstrijden in Europa. Hun laatste prijs dateert uit 2016, toen ze de Deense beker wonnen.

Hun thuismatchen spelen ze in de NRGi Arena. Het stadion heeft een capaciteit van zo'n 19.433 toeschouwers en is gelegen in de Deense stad Aarhus. 

AGF Aarhus kwam ooit eerder al eens uit tegen een Belgische tegenstander. In het seizoen 1985-86 werd het in de eerste voorronde van de UEFA Cup uitgeschakeld door KSV Waregem. 

Ook twee ex-spelers van Club waren ooit actief bij AGF Aarhus. Jim Larsen, tussen 2012 en 2014 actief bij Blauw-Zwart, volgde zijn jeugdopleiding deels bij de Deense club. Ook Anders Nielsen, actief bij Club tussen 1996-97, speelde ooit voor hen.
