Club NXT has strengthened with Shandre Campbell. The 18-year-old South African is acquired from SuperSport United. Shandre wants to continue to develop in Europe and finds a development program tailored to his needs at Club Brugge.
Shandre is a youth product of SuperSport United, where he broke through into the first team last season. He played 30 games in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists. The left-footed wing attacker signs a contract until 2027.
The transfer of Shandre fulfills our ambition to recruit and further develop young talent within our own program.
Shandre's transfer is also unique for SuperSport United. He is the first direct transfer from SuperSport to a European club. CEO Stanley Matthews is proud of this achievement: "Shandre is humble and disciplined and consistently works hard at every training session to improve his game. He has been given a unique opportunity at Club Brugge to play, in a world-class environment, with and against the best players Europe has to offer."
Shandre will complete his first training session with Club NXT tomorrow.
