Club NXT suffers 6-0 defeat away against Union St Gilles

After the draw against KMSK Deinze, Club NXT had another tough game away against Union St-Gillis.

The home side took the lead after just five minutes play when Vanzeir fired home. Club NXT should have leveled when Baeten was fouled inside the box, but Van den Keybus stung the palms of the goalkeeper with his penalty kick. Club NXT goalie Shinton was called upon a few times to keep Club in the game, but just before half time, Undav curled the ball brilliantly in the top corner: 2-0.

The blue and black wanted to get back into the game, but the hosts proved a lot more efficient in front of goal. Bageir and Vanzeir killed the game with a goal each in two minutes. Appiah and Aelterman came on, but that didn't change a lot. Aelterman's effort was deflected wide on a defender, but it was Union that scored two more goals, one from the penalty spot.

For the next game Club NXT hosts RWDM. The youngsters will try to get a first win at Daknam, where they still haven't lost a single game.

Club Brugge: Shinton, Van der Brempt, Fuakala, Hautekiet, Ochieng (72’ Appiah), Blomme, Sandra, Van den Keybus, Engels, Baeten en Sagna (76’ Aelterman).
