Club NXT U23 & U18 on pre-season training camp to Venray

Following the first team, it's now our U23 and U18 squad to prepare for the season with a training camp in Venray (the Netherlands). Want to follow their preparations from closeby? Then give our socials a follow!

This week our academy players are heading off to a week-long training camp. Coach Robin Veldman has a handful of players with him who already played in the Challenger Pro League last season, like Liam and Lenn De Smet, Laurens Goumaere and Kaye Furo. In addition, newcommers Shandre Campbell, Renzo Tytens and Siebe Wylin boarded the bus as well. Coach Siebe Blondelle's U18 side will also be part of this group.

Jong PSV - Club NXT U23 on Friday

The first afternoon's training starts immediately and there's also a training session on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon the U18 team has a teambuilding activity plannend. On Wednesday it's the U23's turn.

On Friday the U23 travels to Eindhoven for a friendly against Jong PSV at 2 pm. After the match, the team returns to Basecamp.

Dag 4 

Een trainingssessie en een uitstap naar Toverland, dit stond er op de planning op donderdag. Na het avondeten was het tijd voor rust. Op vrijdag speelt Club NXT U23 tegen Jong PSV een oefenwedstrijd in Eindhoven. 

Dag 3

Woensdag stond voor onze U23 in het teken van voetbal en teambuilding. De U18 trok twee keer naar de oefenvelden om te trainen. De dag werd afgesloten met een heerlijke barbecue, waarbij het verliezende team van de teambuilding de kok een handje hielp.

Dag 2

Op dinsdag stond er een zwaar programma op de planning voor Club NXT U23. In de ochtend werd een intensieve training afgewerkt, waarna de spelers genoten van een lunch en even rust kregen. Nadien trokken ze de voetbalschoenen opnieuw aan voor een tactische training. 's Avonds kregen de spelers de kans om uit te blinken in de jaarlijkse, traditionele quiz. 

Ook de U18 stond op het trainingsveld. In de ochtend reisden ze samen met de U23 af naar de trainingsvelden om daar een intensieve training voorgeschoteld te krijgen. In de namiddag trokken de spelers op teambuilding. 

Dag 1

De eerste trainingsdag op Nederlandse bodem zit erop. Rond de middag kwamen de spelers toe in Venray en na de lunch was het tijd voor een eerste stevige sessie. Na de training trokken de spelers en staf terug naar het hotel, waar nog een diner en individuele gesprekken op de planning stonden.
