Ahead of the next league game on Jan. 20 against Lommel SK, part of Club NXT U23 will play an international indoor tournament in Göttingen, Germany, in the coming days.
For years, the REWE Junior Cup has been known as a unique training alternative during the winter break. This year, teams such as Manchester United, Fulham FC, AZ Alkmaar, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt are also taking part. Matches last 13 minutes each and are played five against five on artificial turf pitches with boardings.
Club NXT travels to Göttingen with Vroman, De Corte, Sabbe, De Roeve, Willems, Seys, Talbi, Servais, Yakymenko, Vermant, Da Silva & Bisiwu. A lot of names that already made minutes in 1B.
Yesterday Blauw-Zwart already played its first two games. Against local team JFV 37 Göttingen they won 3-1, against JSG Nörten it became 0-8. The rest of the tournament will be livestreamed via YouTube starting today.
