After last week's home defeat against KAA Gent, Blauw-Zwart had something to put right. On Friday night, Club YLA headed to Genk with that mission in mind.
After only three minutes, Moïsa Van Koot opened the score. After a quick counter attack and a sharp cross from Vande Velde, the Dutch right back only had to tap the ball in at the far post: 0-1.
Five minutes later, Club YLA was close to doubling its lead. Lisa Petry came face to face with her former team, but her effort hit the post. In minute 25, Rania Boutiebi went off alone to the goalkeeper and rounded it off cold, 0-2.
Just before halftime Blauw-Zwart added one more. After a corner kick it was again Van Koot who put the ball into the net. With a deserved 0-3 Club YLA went into the locker rooms.
Also after the break, the visitors kept the control firmly in their hands. Goalkeeper Marie Elferink had to intervene only once after a small chance by the home team. The final chord was again for Moïsa Van Koot, who crowned her strong game with a third goal. After a quick throw-in by Kayra Nelemans, she cleverly headed the ball in to complete her hat-trick: 0-4.
Next week Club YLA will host Essevee Women at home.
