Ethan Horvath: “Didn't look right when they scored”

Another hard fought win for Club Brugge against a tough and sturdy AA Gent. Club took the lead, but made it hard on itself by handing out the equaliser in gift wrapping. Goalkeeper Horvath took up his responsability after the game.

“That equaliser... you can put it to my name entirely", the young American started out. "Last week my saves helped us to the win, but today I was very happy to see Dion (Cools, edit) score the winner for us. Those two points lost would have been my fault entirely. I do realise there's still work to be done when it comes to high balls. I wanted to punch it away at first, but hesitated, slid and moments later it was all square. It's a working point, I'm fully aware of that. With Charleroi winning on Friday, we knew we had to shake off Gent to retain our four point gap. Fortunately we did the job, albeit with some effort. Before the game, our coach told us to try and win as many games as we can in order to maximise the gap with the others. We now have the international break, which will offer us some time to address our working points.” (FDC)
