It was with pain in our hearts that we learned of the passing of former player Ruud Geels. Geels lived to be 75 and played two seasons at Club.
The striker helped Club to the title in 1973. In March 73' he scored in Liege and against Crossing Schaerbeek. A week later, Club played champion on Anderlecht's field.
Between 1972 and 1974, the 20-time Dutch international scored 28 times in 53 matches. In 1974, he left Blauw-Zwart for Ajax.
