Blue-Black once again heads to sunny Spain where it will prepare for the second half of the season. On the schedule of this winter internship are six intensive training days, concluded with a practice match against FC Nürnberg.
On Thursday, January 4, the player group left Ostend for Malaga in the morning. From there, they went by bus to Marbella, where training will take place in Dama de Noche, just like in 2022. An intensive week of training awaits coach Ronny Deila's troops with team building on the program. There will be two training sessions almost every day and those sessions will be open to supporters staying in Marbella.
For the winter training camp, coach Ronny Deila selected 29 players: Simon Mignolet, Josef Bursik, Nordin Jackers, Nick Shinton, Joel Ordóñez, Bjorn Meijer, Brandon Mechele, Maxim De Cuyper, Jorne Spileers, Dedryck Boyata, Kyriani Sabbe, Joaquin Seys, Amine Et Taïbi, Bi Abdoul Yameogo, Éder Balanta, Casper Nielsen, Hugo Vetlesen, Hans Vanaken, Laurens Goemaere, Andreas Skov Olsen, Michał Skóraś, Antonio Nusa, Shion Homma, Chemsdine Talbi, Philip Zinckernagel, Ferran Jutglà, Víctor Barberá, Igor Thiago and Alejandro Granados.
