Hans Vanaken: “Changed the system after halftime”
Hans Vanaken played again an important role. Unfortunately the VAR cancelled his goal in the second half because of offside.
“That's pity of course. It was offside apparently. It is a deserved victory. We had the ball in the first half but we only had few possibilities to score. We did not came into the box. Our second half was better with a lot of movement and good chances. We could easily have won 0-3 or 0-4 but we had to be careful for their counterattacks. Our system in the second half was the same one as last season. It is more difficult for the opponent to change after halftime. We win today and move upwards in the ranking. That is the most important thing.”
The first Champions League game against Galatasaray has place on Wednesday. "We hope for a good result just as last year. It is immediately an important game because we want to win. We will have a look at their strengths and weaknesses now. The best soccer games in the world are the Champions League games and it is amazing to be part of that. Everyone needs to have a 100% focus in order to obtain a good result. Galatasaray have the qualities to make it difficult for us. We will do everything we can on Wednesday and hope to keep the three points home." (KN)
