Hans Vanaken: "Hopefully we can maintain winning flow"

Hans Vanaken realized that things did not go smoothly in the second half, but was obviously pleased that Club still pulled off the win.

"We knew beforehand that this was going to be a tough move," began the Blue-Black playmaker. "The conditions were also not obvious with a lot of wind and a difficult pitch. That's obviously the case for both teams. So we knew beforehand that it could be an 'ugly' win here, but there are matches like that in a season."
Vanaken was able to open the scoring early on for Club. "It was nice to get the lead so early and of course I'm satisfied with my goal. However, it doesn't matter who scores. In the first half we also had control and possession of the ball, but in the second half we got it much harder. We then still made that important 0-2, but after that we should have been able to finish the match better. Fortunately, we still managed to get the win."
Blauw-Zwart could now win two matches in a row. "Next week will again be a completely different match. Our main emphasis now is on ball possession and from there we want to be more and more dominant. We have now won two matches in a row and hopefully we can keep that flow going. The fact remains that there is a new coach with a new system and different running lines. You can't grind that into a team overnight, so this takes time. So we realize that it's still a bit of a search and not 100% yet. However, if you can build it up like this and take the three points every time, that's super!" the goal scorer concludes (TM).
