Hans Vanaken: "Major relief after that late equaliser"

With Ruud Vormer out suspended, Hans Vanaken was offered the captain's band. Club's skipper put in a fine performance, but had all the trouble in the world breaking the deadlock. Well into injury time, however, Krépin Diatta gave Club what it warranted.

"A major relief", Club's Golden Shoe started out. "That's just logical when you score the equaliser in the 92nd minute. Today's result is pivotal into safeguarding that third place. This wasn't the best of games. We were in control, but couldn't find an opening. The first opportunity they got went in. We kept going for that equaliser as a team, and drawing level in the last minutes comes with a bout of joy. It came with two red cards, which is a bit of a pity. Let's hope PSG plays it fair and beats Galatasaray on the last match day. We hope we can turn our game against Real Madrid into a gala game with a fine result." (SF)
