Hugo Vetlesen saw Club deservedly take the lead, but was disappointed that Besiktas could still score in the closing stages of the match. Blue-Black had plenty of chances according to the Norwegian midfielder, but failed to finish the match earlier.
"Yes, this is a bit disappointing. We played a good match until the last five minutes. We should have finished the match earlier and had the chances to do so. Unfortunately, they scored at the end, but that's soccer too. It was maybe their second chance in ninety minutes. We should have been several goals ahead by then. We were ahead 1-0 and that should be enough if you can keep the zero. But sometimes it's not your day. It's annoying, but we should be proud of the performance. We can still work on the rest."
Hugo Vetlesen sees it positively for this group stage. "There are still plenty of matches left in this group stage and we are proud of this performance. The next match is to Norway against some old friends. We are going to do everything there to win. If we play like today, we are going to take a lot of points."
Sunday follows the move to Anderlecht. "Now we put the focus back on Sunday's match. We played well tonight and the crowd was fantastic. Sunday it's now back to recover and make sure we are there. We play at Anderlecht and that's a topper again. Right now we can just prepare for that match anyway." (KN)
