Injury update: Bjorn Engels
Bjorn Engels got injured at the shoulder on Wednesday evening during the Champions league game against Leicester City FC. The defender fell hard after an unnecessary push of Islam Slimani and was brought to the hospital. The investigation on Thursday revealed that different tendons in the defender's shoulder were torn. A very painful injury. Bjorn will undergo a surgery tomorrow. It is expected that the number four of the Blues will not play anymore in 2016.
<strong>Engels</strong>: “This is of course very pity. I really looked forward to prove myself in the Champions League and then this happens... Such an injury is really bad luck, I cannot say more about that. I will definitely come back stronger than before just as I proved after my past injuries. I want to thank all the fans for their support and support in the meantime at the sideline for my teammates. It is pity that I have to stand at the sideline now, just when we have a difficult period but we will fight back just like last season."</p>
