Ivan Leko: “I only count on Club Brugge”

On Wednesday afternoon Ivan Leko talked with the press about Thursday's game at Standard. "My players have already proved to be able to perform under enormous pressure", said our coach.

LEKO ABOUT… THE PLAYER'S MENTALITY

The title is still far away but that might change on Thursday evening. "We are hoping for a miracle just like during the game against Genk. We just need to do our thing", said our Croatian coach while praising his team. "Our Play-Offs have been great so far. 19 points out of 8 games, good soccer, mentality, passion, many goals. I have to congratulate my players."

LEKO ABOUT… THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ADVANTAGE

Leko was asked whether last Sunday's victory against Racing Genk had a positive psychological impact on the players. "The psychological advantage is nothing special for me. It was just important for us to prove in the direct duel to be the best team. We won twice, drew once and lost once. But the reality is that we still have three points less than them."

LEKO ABOUT… FIXTURE 9

The coach of the Blues will not think about the match in Anderlecht on Thursday evening. "We play everything or nothing in the Play-Offs, just like I said before the first game against Ghent. We need to do everything we can to beat Standard. Games at Sclessin are always tough. But if we win, we will of course also look at the score of the match in Anderlecht."'
