Ivan Leko saw his team put in a strong performance against Anderlecht, but still had to settle for a point.
"It was an interesting match," said Leko. "I am satisfied with what I saw from my team. We entered the field with the objective to win the match. During the first thirty minutes, we played very well. We took the lead and had several chances to score. Suddenly, however, we gave away a goal too easily, which changed the match. During the second half, we played again with a lot of personality and risk, and I am satisfied with that. Regarding the result, however, I have mixed feelings. If you fall behind ten minutes before time, then maybe you should be satisfied with a point. On the other hand, if there was one team that deserved to win based on the way of playing, it was us."
Blue-Black thus missed the opportunity to take home the three points from Astridpark for the first time in a long while. "Club had not won here for 21 years, but today it was definitely possible. Hats off to my players, because in terms of commitment, energy, and personality, they did very well. Four out of six against Genk and Anderlecht is a good result. It's clear that the playoffs will be exciting." (SF)
