Ordóñez (21) made the move from Independiente del Valle to Club Brugge in 2022. In his first season, the defender played for Club NXT, after which he joined Club’s first team in 2023. In the meantime, Joël also made his debut for Ecuador’s national team. With Club Brugge, he won the Belgian Cup, the league title, and the Supercup.
He has now extended his contract with the Blues until 2029.
