José Izquierdo kicked Club into the lead against SK Deinze at the start of the second half. Immediately the first goal for the Colombian since his return to Bruges. Blauw-Zwart eventually won 3-0 and qualified for the next round of the cup.
"It was a long time since I was able to score. We had some trouble in the beginning to find the openings. But I'm glad I was able to play and that I got a starting place. I scored so it was a good night. Physically, I definitely feel okay. It was my first game, but we are continuing to work hard on my recovery. When you haven't played for a long time, you feel it in your movements. When I play, I focus on my match. I don't think about any injuries. The fans and myself want to see me on the field more already."
After a long rehabilitation, the Colombian seems to be off again with this goal. "I learned a lot from my injury and also my outlook on life has changed. You have no control over that, you have to accept this. You can't give up, three months ago I didn't have a team. But tonight I can already score. I have become more mature in many ways, but I am still the same person with the smile, you know." (KN)
